Accolade Cherry

Floating pink blossoms on a graceful black barked small tree, Accolade is one of the best flowering trees for our area. There are a couple in the Millennium Grove planted along side of Fireweed Place downtown, and around the Mendenhall Valley Library. It blooms before anything else, and it’s double, pale pink flowers signal spring’s arrival like nothing else.
