Description
Featured perennial in the garden, supporting player in a flowering container, or vigorous groundcover, this sturdy performer is essential in the Southeast Garden. Leaves like a fern, and flowers like an ostrich plume, it is reliable, colorful and virtually pest free. It comes in pink, red, white, lavender and purple, in heights from 10 inches to 3 feet. Our offerings vary through the year so check to see what’s in stock now. Seen in the Photo is a new one called “Delft Lace” that was bred to have especially lovely leaves.
Our favorite garden, Ginger Johnson’s showplace in Douglas, uses hundreds as the understory for her perennial collection, when they come into bloom it’s like the lights being turned on.
