A deciduous shrub growing up to 6′ tall. Hold your breath until the fall and you will see a stunning display of fire-engine red foliage and dramatic dark berries which, as they ripen, will split open to reveal bright orange seeds. An award winning shrub, its common name is well earned. Generally pest free, do keep an eye out for powdery mildew.
