Douglas Maple, Acre glabrum

Slow-growing, the Douglas Maple is native to the Pacific Northwest. With green leaves that turn orange and red in the fall, this beauty loves full to partial sun and well draining soil. Each year the new growth will come in as bright red bark, and will turn a pale gray as it matures. It will take 10 years for the Douglas to reach 6 feet tall and 2 feet wide, but will eventually mature to 30 feet tall and 10 feet wide.
