Everyone loves the famous Italian Oregano! Like most herbs from the Mediterranean, this delicious deciduous friend likes well draining somewhat dry soil, so in Southeast we recommend keeping it in an herb pot or planter with plenty of sun. Growing 12 to 18 inches tall and spreading about as wide, for regular harvesting cut down to 2 or 3 inches above the soil to bring in for drying or fresh cooking. Great for stuffing, marinades, or as a dried topping on pizza, pasta, and sauces.
