Japanese Maple, Yezo Nishiki
Slow-growing, steady, and superb, the Yezo Nishiki is a stunning old cultivar that brings so many tones of red and orange and everything between to your landscape. Beginning in the spring with deep red leaves, a beautiful adding of bronze hues that underlight the established crimson. Beyond summer, look for oranges and reds bleeding together as the leaves prepare to shed for the winter. At ten years old, Yezo Nishiki will reach between 10 and 12 feet tall but eventually this beauty could reach all the way to 20 feet tall. An upright maple, reaching 6 to 8 feet wide, this steady friend will keep your landscape glowing for the rest of your life. For winter survival, make sure to wrap the tree, keeping the branches safe from ice and snow to prevent snapping.
