Extremely cold tolerant and deer resistant, this dwarf birch shrub grows into an attractive fan-like shape. New leaves come in as yellow and orange and turn to a bright Chartreuse green as they mature. Preferring partial to full sun, this shrub stays small, only growing to about 4 feet square at its most and it is easily trimmed to make miniature hedges.
